As far as the hotel goes, the staff are very kind and accommodating, there are several shops on the bottom floor, you’re able to purchase local goods at the front desk and there is an amazing kimono shop one block away called Aridayagofuku where you can buy very high-quality textiles, local jewelry, and seasonal kimono. "The food was excellent and the onsen at night overlooking the ocean and the lighthouse was incredible. If you're planning to go to Tomogashima island keep in mind that the ferry doesn't sail on Wednesday and may be cancelled on other days due to high wind. I was unable to make it to the island on my 2 night stay so I suppose I will just have to come back again!"
