Packwood Inn

10/10 Excellent
"Right in the middle of town, convenient, it's what you expect of a simple hotel. Nothing fancy but it was well kept, clean, and worth what we paid and we just needed a clean room for the night"

"Very good experience . Went to Mt Rainier Park hoping for scenery and maybe see an elk .Scenery great , but no elk . Back to my hotel in Packwood .Three on back lawn ! One more hour and (really!) over twenty . Told they feed and hang out most afternoons.Eating:the Mexican restaurant. Has a wide menu .Had steak with sautéed onions ,mushrooms, and peppers. Next door bakery has scones to die for. Great staff , laundry; shower room for hikers ."

Alexander's Lodge

"The romantic suite was quaint and well suited for 2. However, we found that it was quite tight for 3 adults, especially when the sofa bed was fully extended. What we love most was that the to-go breakfast items were all delivered in our refrigerator the night before, allowing us to take that with us for the hike at 4:30am the next morning. We also love the trout pond behind the property. Location of the property --> Short drive to the Paradise entrance."

Crest Trail Lodge

Crest Trail Lodge

8/10 Good
"We stayed over the Labor Day Holiday weekend, so maybe that affected the price; but this was a fairly expensive hotel and yet felt more like a small-town, budget-price facility. The grounds and room were fine, just not the level one might expect for the pricey tag. Our only specific complaint was that the walls and ceiling were so sound-transparent that we could hear conversations going on at the Front Desk; and the footsteps from the floor above were so loud that I occasionally feared the person above might break through and join us in our room! I could hear them packing early in the morning - opening the fridge door, hangers clanging on the closet rack, microwave door closing -- all without my hearing aids in!"
