“We really enjoyed our 5 day stay at the Hotel, our standard room was of a very generous size, much bigger than a lot of hotels which was very pleasing. The Hotel throughout was spotlessly clean, and the food was excellent, the staff were very helpful, and the cost was very reasonable, there was always plenty of parking spaces in the car park, and we will definitely visits again, the Hotel exceeded our expectations.”

“Lovely stay breakfast was delicious and staff very attentive. Room was modern but had a few cosmetic issues such as tape on laminate flooring and a shower screen that didn't stop the water from pouring out. It didn’t affect our stay but from a glance minor repairs could be made. Would still happily book again as location and breakfast alone was well worth it ”

“Good location for strolling around Langport with its cafes,independent shops , gardens and river walks . The library is very close with an outdoors area . We had a room in the courtyard , good in the heatwave . Sometimes had to park further away in town car park ..still free ,though in autumn 2026 may have to pay . Staff helpful .”

“Spent one night at The George. The staff were very friendly, check in was very smooth. Very knowledgeable about car parking in the town. Our room was very comfortable, clean and tidy. We slept well. The bathroom was well appointed, the shower was good and there was plenty of hot water. Breakfast was very good. My partner had a full English which he was very pleased with. I had poached eggs which were perfectly cooked. We would definitely stay here again if we are in the area.”

“Firstly I would not recommend this place to stay to anyone. On the plus side the room was clean but any so called amenities were pretty basic for what was described as 4 star. To be told on arrival by the manager/chef/barman/probably everything this as he seemed to be the only person on the premises, that there was no food due to no delivery was a bit of a blow. Then be told that an English breakfast was going to be an additional £8 per head also didn't go down well. We were informed that...

“David made us feel very welcome. The room was very nice with all the extra touches like dressing gowns, water, beverages including decaff! We had read about David's breakfast being very good and we were not disappointed, organic produce and cooked to perfection. We had a comfortable stay and would not hesitate to come back again.”
