Ideal location, the hotel is in the city centre, so you can walk basically everywhere. Great and friendly staff. The building itself is very old, so some parts are a bit outdated (reception, breakfast room and stairs). But the rooms are big, very clean and you have everything you need inside (lots of sockets, the shower works very well etc). The rooms are very clean. I'll definitely go back

This hotel is located at an excellent location. Lots of restaurants, cafes and pubs nearby. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We plan on staying there again next time we’re in Southampton.

Go in with low expectations . It’s pretty beat up place. No AC and windows don’t open either. It’s pretty old place and floor squeaks and has a beat up antique elevator which fits one person. I paid 160 dollars per night and was expecting a bit better. On the good note it is in the center with a few restaurants around you plus breakfast was included in my price and the bathrooms were a bit updated.

Very helpful and pleasant staff, the room had two double beds and a walk in shower. The breakfast was basic but served well. All in all, a very good stay and I would be definitely going to return.

This is an older property with lots of character. Located near the downtown area, there are lots of dining choices within walking distance. There could be some work done in the interior to make it more appealing but the room was clean, comfortable and, even though we faced the main street, quiet. Breakfast was quite nice with a very good selection. Staff was very friendly.

All of the staff were pleasant and helpful. The room was clean and a good size. The breakfast was tasty and had a good variety of items in their buffet. The location of the hotel is perfect, being only a block away from Barsgate and central to everything in Southampton. We would definitely stay here agsin!

Hotel was small but our room was great. No AC but not unexpected. Was there on supposedly record setting heat day but there was a fan in the room so wasn't unbearable. In downtown old town so a lot within walking distance. Was there for a cruise and it was walkable to the cruise port (about 1 mile).
