"I was delighted with the price and in general the hotel and room were fine. It is conveniently located next to either a Denny's or IHOP restaurant –I don't recall which, but the food was great.
I had two complaints. The lady at the front desk gave me two magnetic keys to the door, and neither worked. After trying both in all directions I went back to the front desk, she gave me two more keys, they didn't work either, and ultimately she went to the room with me (obviously annoyed but courteous) and discovered they would not work for her either. She said she would be right back, and 45 minutes later I went to dinner and was able to get working keys when I returned and went to the front desk.
My biggest concern was there was almost zero water pressure in the bathroom sink—perhaps a ¼” drizzle—so to wash my hands or brush my teeth I had to use the shower faucet, which had tremendous water pressure. I mentioned this shortly after I arrived but two days later nothing had been done to address the problem. Also, I left a little after 9:00 AM on my first full day to drive to San Antonio and give a lecture, and when I returned that evening the trash cans were still full, no new towels, and as stated the sink faucet just dripped a thin stream of water.
All in all, I would call it a “decent” experience given the great price, but somewhat annoying as well—particularly because of the lack of water. "
