"Kahler Grand is in a perfect location for appointments at the Mayo Clinic. We were able to walk there through subways and sky walks which was great for cold and rainy days. There's currently construction going on, so the entrance wasn't so obvious. Uber and cabs know where it is though.
We did encounter some homeless people several times coming into the lobby, which was a little unsettling while waiting for our cab at 3:30am. The elevators require a room key to go above the second floor, so that felt safer. We never had any problems other than one guy who snuck on the elevator with us. I really feel bad for these people but feeling safe is important.
Overall, I plan to stay there again. Our room was clean and comfortable, although we had trouble cooling the room enough at night. There are plenty of restaurants walking distance which made it convenient.
We'll be back. "
