“This place is wayyy sketchy. A $300 deposit on a SHARED space is unbelievable. Paired with no refund policy once it's booked. I've never had a place cause me such a headache on whether or not it was a scam. I booked it earlier in the week thinking it would be chill and didn't read the fine print. MY MISTAKE. "The location was absolutely perfect! It was incredibly convenient and made exploring downtown Chicago so easy. Major attractions like the Riverwalk, Michigan Avenue, and Millennium Park were all within easy reach. There were also plenty of coffee shops, restaurants, and convenience stores like 7-Eleven within walking distance, which made everything even more convenient. The view from my room was spectacular. I stayed on the 37th floor with a beautiful river view, and honestly, the view alone made the stay worth it. Seeing the Chicago skyline and river from that height was especially memorable, both during the day and at night. The staff were another highlight of my stay. Everyone I interacted with was genuinely friendly, welcoming, and helpful. I always felt warmly greeted whenever I came back to the hotel, which made it feel very comfortable and inviting. The hotel itself was comfortable, well located, and a wonderful base for experiencing Chicago. Being able to step outside and have so much of the city within walking distance was a huge plus. My stay at the Royal Sonesta Chicago Downtown made my trip to Chicago even more special. Between the amazing location, incredible river view, and wonderful hospitality, I had such a great experience and would absolutely stay here again on my next visit to Chicago. Highly recommended!"
