"A charming, relatively small hotel right in the heart of Lyon. We booked a long weekend in Hotel Silky on our way to the Alps as we had always wanted to explore Lyon. The hotel is in the perfect location nestled between the Soan and Rhone rivers, each being a 5 minute walk away, and right next to the old town. The hotel staff were all really helpful on check-in and throughout our stay. the rooms were clean and had everything you need for a short stay. There is no car park, but the staff pointed us in the direction of the nearest secure underground car park next to the river (5 min walk). The hotel is in a lovely small square where you can sit after a days sight seeing and watch the world go by. The continental breakfast was also good value for money. Would definitely recommend and would not hesitate to stay at Hotel Silky again in the future."

"Great historic building, with superb public transport options within metres. Rooms are a good size, and comfortable. Good modern bathroom an suite. An excellent breakfast buffet, with lots of choice. We also used the restaurant, which offered good options at reasonable prices. All the staff we mer, were friendly, bright, and helpful."

"Our room was great, with a separate sitting/kitchen area so we could put our baby to sleep and still spend time talking. We had an air-conditioned room and could not imagine having a room without during the heatwave in Lyon. They had the air con running for us and the crib already set up before we got there which was amazing. My only complaint is the shower, no matter how I had the shower curtain positioned, water covered the floors of the bathroom."

"This is a very cool hotel!! We absolutely loved our family room which consisted of two interconnected rooms! The decor and layout was perfect and we slept very well!! We also appreciated them accomodating our large and tall car in the front car park. Only negatives were that the restaurant was closed so no food onsite but the lovely guy on reception booked us a table at Chez Carlo (a pizza place nearby). The pool is also in a building next door and has lots of rules about costumes men wear and everyone has to wear hats so we decided to leave as it was very restrictive! Points to note: The hotel is AMAZING!! Just wish we could have stayed in and had dinner in the restuarant as the area was a little sketchy and we were approached several times by people begging."
