“Staff were very welcoming and helpful. The room was clean and well presented even a lovely note was left from the cleaning staff and a welcoming message before arrival was a nice touch. The only thing I could fault is a broken light in our room and if u compare it with a premier inn the bed is much smaller and there is no bath, however it is definitely more modern.”

“My shower leaked so bathroom floor was wet all the time. There was mould in the shower .no Fridge. There was litter left in one corner of the room . Breakfast was pretty underwhelming but well staffed and managed. The bed was awful , lumpy and uncomfortable. Ill not be staying here again . It was cheap and I know why. “Efficient and friendly staff, clean rooms with all the facilities you need. Evening meal and service was excellent couldn’t fault my stay would definitely recommend.”

“Basically you get what you pay for. This is a cheap option in a great location for climbing the Wrekin. The hotel is quite dated, the tv in the room was tricky to operate and the room was noisy (what sounded like a tumble dryer throughout the night). But it was clean and offered value for money.”

“Clean functional rooms. Neat snack bar and bar in communal area with okay coffee. Excellent breakfast and good value. Quiet rural location.”

“A wonderful hotel, everything was super nice, the room, (given a upgrade), the food outstanding, and the friendliest you could have ever meet. Definitely will book when next in the area.”

“Lovely hotel room was clean, breakfast was excellent, evening meal was excellent too, great location”

“I love old fashioned, traditional pubs & inns, and this was perfect. Wooden beams, creaky floors, etc. The staff were wonderful and very helpful. The meals were of high quality & decently priced, too, the breakfast exceptional! Plenty of parking available. I will definitely visit there again.”

“Although much about this property is dated, the warmth of its welcome, the high quality of its food, and the ease of parking (for £4 a day in the carpark across the road) make this a five star stay.”

“Good clean property, staff very friendly. Very accommodating for pet.”
