"Room was lovely. Very comfortable beds. Clean. Beautiful views. Loved the walking trail around the property and down to the lake. My first time checking into a property without a front desk — so that was a learning curve, but it went well. We would have liked a few basic supplies in the kitchenette but were able to purchase them at the Lutsen General store. We didn’t figure out until the second day that there are staff around that can provide extra supplies as needed — maybe clearer information on that in the unit would be helpful. Our only real complaint was listening to a barking dog — even at four in the morning. Older travelers should know that they will climb stairs and that the shower is in a large deep bathtub. Convenient location to hike, explore several state parks and historic landmarks and enjoy Grand Marais. Be sure to visit the Lutsen Winery— very fun and excellent wine!"

"The lodge was an older building but nicely remodeled and well kept in a great location. A trail on the property connects to adjacent Cascade River State Park with numerous waterfalls."

"Best bidget hotel in Grand Marais with a pool and continental breakfast. We stayed 3 nights and the pool was closed the first night because they just added chemicals. The carpet is getting very stained and worn, and the staff no longer stocks enough pool towels in the pool area, so we had to ask for towels in order to use the pool. The room decor and layout is standard 1990's. But overall everything is in good shape, functional, and decently clean. The A/C, heat, TV, and fridges always work to ensure comfort during our stay. We played games at night around the included table in our room and the 3 room chairs served well for that purpose. There is a huge foyer table we could place all our luggage on for easy access without bending over. The views of the lake were spectacular from the 3rd floor and the location was convenient for accessing all the in-town attractions. This hotel always meets our expectations year after year with no regrets or unwanted surprises.."
Eagle Ridge Resort at Lutsen Mountains

"We had such a great stay at Eagle Ridge Resort! The location was easily my favorite part, it truly feels like the adventure starts right outside your door. We were able to wake up for a beautiful morning sunrise and head straight onto the onsite trails to explore the forest. Being right at Lutsen Mountains also made it incredibly convenient to take the gondola up and experience some of the most amazing views of the North Shore. I also loved having a full kitchen and private bedrooms, which made the space feel much more like a home base than a typical hotel room and would be especially great for a longer stay. The little shop near guest check-in was adorable, and do not sleep on the ice cream, it was surprisingly SO good! If you’re looking for a place where you can relax while still having hiking, incredible scenery, and North Shore adventures right outside your door, I would absolutely recommend Eagle Ridge."
