Tucson Mountain Park, Tucson Estates hotel rooms at the Independent

"We had a very pleasant stay at this lodge! The place is charming, with beautiful Arizona-style grounds that really capture the true desert atmosphere. Our room was spacious, comfortable, and very clean. Breakfast was also very nice and a great way to start the day. Overall, it felt like a truly authentic Arizona experience. We would totally recommend this place and would happily return again!"

"When I booked my package the hotel in the picture showed a pool connected to my suite, I called hotel after and their was no pool connected. Hotel also had signs everywhere saying they had a gift shop they did not. The hotel (which was a suite!!!) did not have a microwave, bathtub or movie channels (called front desk and they said they did not have it). Their were no booklets where to go to eat, I called the kitchen one time could not get food because the burners were out. Food very expensive at the hotel and it was hard to find a good place to deliver to the room. Also when I picked up my care at dollar one at the airport, the gentleman did not explain anything about the car, so one time when I went to start it, it said I needed to use the key, had no idea what so ever where to put it, looked in the manual it did not tell me either, thank god an old couple came over to help me. My husband and I are not night people, so we stay home at night and had no movie channels to watch, I have travelled everywhere in a normal hotel they always had them. Their should of been better kcups and not so small k cup machine. For all the money we spent in this package I felt I got ripped off, I will never use expedia again very false advertising. Spending over $2,500.00 for 5 day package that deal is awful."

"This place has a fun, quirky, art-forward style throughout that transforms the common space into a comfortable interactive place to be and makes the basic motel rooms feel inviting and private. I enjoyed the grilled cheese with green chiles and tomato at the bar with a glass of beer and the free oatmeal breakfast bar with ample toppings, pop tarts and coffee in the morning. Pool was awesome, even though I did not get in. Both times I stayed there I had conversations with people who were in the middle of interesting travel adventures. I will stay there again."

"It was nice except for the dog that kept barking across the hall he interrupted my sleep and the house keeper that try to come in at 9am to clean. I left the do not disturb sign but someone must have moved it. N cer the less it was a little scary hearing someone try to come in and the barking dog "

"Hotel is not bad, but there's no free breakfast and the rooms are not good for families. Also not a lot of options within walking distance for food, parks, etc."
