The rooms are unique and fun to stay in for a night or two. I'd recommend booking one of the larger units, as the smaller rooms appear like they could feel cramped. The views from the bed and private patio are excellent, and the overall design of the property is impressive. Unfortunately, the hotel is not yet firing on all cylinders. We checked in on a Saturday and weren't able to access our room until 5:00 PM. Many other guests appeared to be experiencing the same issue. As a result, we missed out on using the pool, which was one of the amenities we were most looking forward to. The property also seems significantly understaffed. At times, a single employee was responsible for the front desk, bar, and restaurant service. The room was mostly clean, although there was still hair in the shower when we arrived. The bathroom design also has some flaws. The shower glass is too short, allowing water to spray across the floor, and inadequate ventilation appears to be causing the shower ceiling paint to peel already. RESET is probably the best hotel option in Twentynine Palms unless you're interested in renting a house. That said, I found the room rate difficult to justify given the current level of service and execution. The property has tremendous potential, but management needs to invest more in staffing and operations to deliver the experience the design promises. I genuinely hope they work through these issues.

I saw this hotel all over social media and was really excited to stay at RESET. We arrive at check in time and was told that we could not go to our room yet, I confirmed and ask if check in time was at 3:00 pm. The front desk agreed and stated no apology at all just that they were fully booked last night. Eventually we got told we could go to our room around 3:45pm. I’m very understanding but the lack of apology or offering us a refreshment as we wait was upsetting. We check into our room then head over to the pool. There were no towels available for us at the pool. We talked to the front desk again and they stated they had no more towels for us and we had to wait for the towels to dry. That’s fine, but we waited over an hour and no one cared to find us to give us a towel or put any more towels out. At this point we never got pool towels and just left the pool. Additionally, there were dirty cups everywhere at the pool. One of us needed an iron or steamer for our dress shirt. We walked over to the front desk and asked if they had an iron or steamer. They said only the cleaning staff had it but they were on their break. The lady working the front desk stated she would go get it and come drop it off at our room. She never came. We went back to ask again and a different staff member was helpful and brought it to us. I never leave reviews but this was one of the worst stays in a while. All the staff was extremely nice except this one specific lady, I wish I got her name.

Stayed in a moonlit patio room. Pros: • private patio with a fire pit and two chairs • an outdoor mattress that can be used for stargazing • comfortable bed • amazing pour over coffee provided in the room • high quality toiletries provided Cons: • no iron/ironing board provided in the room • the floor was mildly dirty upon arrival • the door was really hard to close, had to use plenty of force • I think some covers need to be provided for the outdoor mattress because it was pretty dusty Some things to consider: • moonlit patio room is half of a shipping container so expect a very small room • expect to disconnect from technology as this room did not have a television, which I liked

The staff was amazing, the minute I walked in they greeted my dogs and gave them greenies. The property was amazing the rooom was great. Super quiet hotel which was enjoyable. The only suggestions I have for them is, they needed to put some kind of drawers or cabinet to put your clothes in, I had to throwy luggage on the desk. You can actually walk your pets on their property in the back the only thing is there’s so much broken glass I had to stop and turn around and carry my dogs so they would t get cut. Hopefully they can clear the glass, it’s not safe. Other than that I totally recommend Rest hotel, the grab and go snacks came in clutch as well.

I traveled alone to the Reset Hotel in 29 Palms and found a quiet kind of abundance. One hundred acres of open desert stretch out toward Joshua Tree, threaded with trails and punctuated by unexpected art. Time slowed there. Space opened up. Being in that vast stillness felt like its own rare, understated luxury.
