“Expedia did not relay my original request for a twin-bedded room (we were two elderly ladies) and we were allocated VERY SMALL double bed which was totally unacceptable. Fortunately the hotel were eventually able to arrange a twin-bedded room by splitting a king size bed into two sections and the situation was resolved. BUT it could have spoiled our holiday had a solution not been found (the hotel was fully booked).”

“No parking when I got there and not a big car park anyway, room was dirty with hair left in the shower, bed was lumpy and creaked everytime I l moved. Also wasn't made aware that there was a function on until I checked in which was noisy up until midnight.”

“It was very shabby and it smelt bad. It is conveniently situated for the centre of Clacton but it was very noisy and so I didn't sleep well. There was very little space in the bathroom. They don't do breakfasts so I had to schlep round town in the heat trying to find somewhere. On a positive note the gentleman was very friendly and welcoming when I checked in.”

“Situated near the station and at the top of the main drag, this hotel is in dire need of some tlc. They do appear to have a programme of renovations in hand, but our corner room had several cracked window panes and dated furnishings. The sink does not have a mixer tap, and the hot water is scalding, while there is almost no water pressure for the shower. “Very pleasant hotel and lovely owners and staff. An old building with character features but clean and tidy. The room was large with a huge double bed, TV, tea & coffee making facilities and a small fridge. The bathroom was modern clean and tidy with lots or towels, but beware the seagulls are noisy if you have your window open. The breakfast was good with a large selection of fruit, cereals or cooked. “It was our first time staying in Pippin Cottage and what a delight. When we arrived we contacted the host and they met us promptly. It is a very cosy and quiet location. Not far from st Osyth village. Thankyou to the hosts for a lovely stay. ”

De accomodatienaam klopt niet en het adres wat er bij staat ook niet, dit gaat om een andere accomodatie van Premier Inn, dit is verwarrend!! ”

“Two adults stayed. Used both bedrooms. Very hot but able to open windows. Enjoyed the upstairs outside deck when we were there. Useful having washing machine. Plenty of street parking, but tight spaces & don’t rely on parking directly outside. Bathroom tiny but fit for purpose. Easy walk to beach front. Thank you ”
