“Beautiful location in the middle of nowhere. Friendly staff. The room was spacious with good quality linen & toiletries, albeit the bathroom needed a little TLC. Loved the sound of the owls at night & the fox’s calling. It was a very welcoming atmosphere & Johnnie is a character! ”

“Excellent village pub with great staff and atmosphere that matches its surroundings and in keeping with good old inn values. The chef provides a great variety of flavors and quality dishes all served hot and on hot plates. The stairs are somewhat challenging for the elderly and mobility impaired. I didn’t realize when booking that I could have requested a ground floor room. My bad - should have read the small print. Would definitely stay again if in the area.”

The pub & restaurant have an amazing wine selection, a superb selection of excellent beers from Lacons and fabulous food. “The properties is in good condition has nice rooms and has good food. Staff are friendly and efficient. You probably can only get there by car but there is plenty of car parking space and it could be used as a base to see a lot of of Norwich and surrounding area”
