“Loved everything about this hotel -- location and the room itself was so cute. The only issue I had was there was some miscommunication regarding an issue we needed resolved. The reps from the hotel texted back and forth with me about it before we left, but the issue was never solved really. They did call later to try to follow up, but we were already on our way. I did appreciate the effort to follow up though. Overall, a nice place.”

“Great, helpful and friendly staff!!! Great price and location. Only issues were very minor, and any issues that were addressable were immediately remedied. We were also aware before arriving that the pool is no longer available, although it is not physically removed as of yet. Note that it is a slightly older hotel, so if you have mobility issues, be sure to request a ground floor room, since there is no elevator to the second floor. There is a small cafe room serving (in the morning) free...

“The rooms were clean. The staff was friendly and helpful.”

“The motel is old and not very well kept up. Rooms are small have not seen updates since the 60’s. The carpet smells and there is no insulation so it’s either very cold or hot. It is not close to town at all but there is a shuttle across the street that runs into town. However, the staff is so UNHELPFUL that had I not already known about the shuttle, they would not have offered any information. I paid for my room in advance but when I checked in, she handed me a paper that said I still owed....

“What a perfect location, walkable to everything in town and 10 min to Acadia. Our room was spacious and clean. Would highly recommend! Oh and the blueberry pancakes, and scones are killer.”

“We love the staff at the property!!! Michelle at the front desk made us feel like part of the family. She made sure our every needs were fulfilled and always went out of her way to help us. Dannette is the encyclopedia of the area. She shared her knowledge of the surrounding harbors and we loved all the places off the beaten path she recommended. We normally wouldn’t stay at a motel, but we had a hard time to say goodbye at Anchorage Motel!”

“Overall a great experience. The room was clean and comfortable even though the hotel is a bit older. There was ample parking and a beautiful view. I would absolutely stay here again. I took off one star due to two factors. The towel bar fell off the wall in the bathroom. When I alerted the staff, they quickly reattached it while we were out for the day. But it immediately fell off again. The two ends of the towel bar were too far apart, so simply reattaching the fallen end into the same...

“Very affordable stay near Acadia. The bed could use replacement (deep sunk in spot in middle) and oddly one outlet missing it's cover. Ice is in the office, so be sure to grab during open hours. The showers worked well, but could be picky to get and hold temperature. It was welcoming, though.”

“My wife and I really enjoyed our stay at the Otter Creek Inn. The Only minor complaint we might have was the size of the shower in unit #5 (the only one we know about). If you are a large person that shower may present an issue. Other than that, our week there was great. Dawn, the manager was always helpful and we shared a few laughs with Evelyn over morning coffee.
