Dear Expedia Customer Support, I am writing to formally complain about my recent stay at Ocean Coral Spring H10 in Jamaica from June 23–26, 2026. I booked this vacation package through Expedia for my wife and me as a birthday getaway. Before traveling, we decided to bring our two children with us. Their flights were purchased separately, and upon arriving at the hotel, we paid the hotel directly to add both children to our reservation so that all four of us could stay together in the same room. Unfortunately, although the Expedia booking was for my wife and me, the condition of the room provided by the hotel significantly affected our entire family and fell far below the standard we expected. As soon as we entered Room 2519, we were met with a strong moldy odor that was immediately noticeable. We initially hoped the smell would dissipate, but it remained throughout our stay. As we settled into the room, we discovered that the white ottoman at the foot of the bed was heavily stained and appeared extremely dirty. The matching desk chair was in the same condition, covered with stains and clearly not properly cleaned. Rather than allow these issues to ruin the beginning of my birthday trip, my wife covered both pieces of furniture with towels so we would not have to touch or use them. The bathroom presented another serious issue. A foul sewage-like odor continuously came from the shower drain. Each time we returned to the room after being out, the smell seemed even stronger

Great all around

We spent our honeymoon at Sunset at the Palms and it was truly a peaceful and relaxing escape. The resort has a calm, intimate atmosphere, and the beach was always quiet—perfect for unwinding. The staff were all very friendly and attentive. Concierge team checked in on us almost every day to make sure we were enjoying our stay, which was much appreciated. The service overall was excellent, and the food was fresh and flavorful. Our room was clean and comfortable, with daily housekeeping available upon request. We did notice a few small bugs here and there, and we got a few bites from sand flies at night, but it wasn’t a big issue. We’re not very familiar with the tipping culture, so we hope our appreciation was still felt. With kind people, good food, and reggae music playing in the background, it was a lovely and memorable honeymoon.
