"We enjoyed our stay the the Hotel Ballast Wilmington. We were in town for a One Tree Hill convention and this was the most convenient hotel we could have chose. The first day was a little hectic. I checked- in through the app, and my key was still not ready when we arrived. When we got to the hotel, I waited in a long line while ONE poor girl ran the front desk. Where was her help when all these people were checking in? We also didn't have room service for one day, but other than that great hospitality. We were able to walk to the convention center on the riverwalk. Super close to restaurants too. Our room we selected was the river view and it was gorgeous! There was some normal wear and tear in the hotel, a few things that could be updated. Our toilet roll dispenser was falling off the wall, and the toilet ran randomly. We used the gym on site and were able to get a great workout in. We had dinner at Sugo Italian Steakhouse and it was so delicious!! I definitely will be staying here again."

"First off I had to go because my daughter was in hospital. That being said: when we finally got to the room at 1030 friday night only lights that worked were the bathroom lights. We were so tired we didn't care. Before the trip to hospital saturday we told them and was told it would be fixed in about 20 minutes, but when we got back still no lights. When I told staff AGAIN it was fixed in a few minutes. The room was extremely clean. There was not a lot of noise. Beds little hard. All in all it worked for a weekend family medical emergency. For me it would not work for extended stay."

"Had a wonderful experience at the hotel. Jona at the front desk was very helpful. Remote did not work upon arrival so we went done and he gave us new batteries. And it still didn’t work so be gave us another one right away. Extremely clean and well maintained property. Great location In Wilmington."
