The Sandman Santa Rosa Sonoma, an Ascend Collection Hotel

"The Sandman is a nice hotel. My biggest problem was that we were only there overnight so we didn't have time to take advantage of the beautiful outdoor swimming pool. The room was comfortable and clean. But, the number one thing about this location was the staff! They noticed that I had accidentally double-booked my stay (for two separate nights)and not only cancelled the unwanted stay but also contacted Expedia directly to let them know they were not charging me. This to me, went above and beyond what was expected of them. Some places would have said "too bad" or "there is nothing we can do" but they didn't. And, taking the initiative to contact Expedia was much appreciated."

"I stayed in the King suite with a hot tub and fireplace. It was Absolutely worth it! I could see the water from the bed and tub. It was a perfect place to relax and enjoy the gorgeous view. My room was clean and quiet. The location was the best! Right out the door to a paved trail, the beach was a 1 minute walk. I'll definitely be back."

"Very chill place for a young family to hang out. Easy to get around and a cool 50's vibe. Close to a few stores. Drinks by the pool were not great candidly. Frozen they were not. The outside bar could do with a lot more ice and a few actual blenders to make proper frozen drinks. But lite-bites by the pool were great. Kids loved the quesadillas and hummus snacks. And service was helpful."
