This is an older property but it is near a mall that has seen better days. It has a free breakfast buffet. The entrees were the same every day. The last day we were there the faucet in the bathroom tub got stuck or something. We couldn't turn the water off. We alerted management and apparently we were not the only room.

I failed to see their No Pets policy. We had stayed at the Best Western Plus in Beckley on 9-12-24 with my 2 small dogs and made the mistake of thinking that they too accepted pets like Beckley and the other BW in Winston Salem. I was wrong and lost the cost of the room. I will not make that mistake again and will not ever stay at Best Western Plus.

The first room we were given had the hot water running out of the bathtub faucet. We told front desk about this. He told us there was about 20 or so rooms that had a leak like this and that it could not be fixed until they were able to cut the water off. Next morning, we did not have any hot water. The bathroom also appeared to not be clean. However, the next day, we were given a better room. All of the rooms appeared to be really small.

This place is average at best. Chipped paint, small bathrooms, closet, ripped lamp shade, lack of security, etc. They gave us a room with wet carpeting from a leak (audible squish sound from amount of water). New room had very small bathroom, trash on floor next to bed. Bathroom appeared to be clean. Towels are very thin and abrasive. (Think old school gym towels). No security for exit doors - All unlocked at all times. Good location to stores, restaurants and access to Wake Forest. Very little competition for hotels, so no incentive to make it better. Pool was drained, no hot tub. Will likely stay here again, as other option in area are terrible.

I'd reported to the front desk clerk, there were 2 filled plastic bags at the bottom of the stairwell the evening I checked in. I was truly shicked, the bags were still there the next morning. It's totally unacceptable. What if there was an emergency and guesys had to leave the property.

Called directly to hotel before booking and asked about their pool. They said yes they had one and all was good with it. Checked in the said couldn’t use the pool that day because they were treating. Come to find out it had not been useable for over two weeks and would not be fixed during our stay. Would not stay there again.

Nice hotel with a good breakfast. I stayed two nights. I left the sign on my door for maid service after the first night but my room had not been touched when I returned at the end of the day. I only needed a new towel and that was easy enough to get, so I didn’t mind.

The hallways were filthy, dirty Q tips , garbage etc , looked like vacuuming didn’t happen , our room refrigerator had been unplugged water from freezer area all over , only light that worked in the bathroom was the heat lamp , our floors hadn’t been mopped totally disappointed, will not stay there again
