“The resort was very clean and well maintained, there was a peacefulness which you would not get in the more busier resorts. The staff were helpful and very friendly. Only thing I would say is that the dinner service was quite slow, however food was quite good.”

“What a thoughtfully curated hotel. They were extremely responsive and helpful with coordination of all travels and excursions. The staff were warm welcoming and went above and beyond to make sure our stay was memorable. They always had a smile on their faces. Special shout out to Raphael. Manages quality one day! Very unique hotel experience that I highly recommend! And the food… wow. Shout out to the chef very impressive. We hope to be back.”

“Best hotel I have ever stayed at in my life. This place deserves 10 stars. ”

“Relaxed beyond words during our stay @ Blue Reef. This place is a vibe…chill. Luxuries abound in our rooms (we stayed in the apartment). So much space for our family of 4 to really spread out and regroup after a week of safari in northern Tanzania. Snorkeling right from the hotel was perfect for the kids. The breakfasts were spot on for everyone in our group of picky eaters to find their favorites…GREAT COFFEE!!! The staff is laid back and welcoming while also taking care of business. We’ll be...

“There is an anoucement (?) local speaker around the hotel. So nosiy even around 5 am. I could find many insects in the room (floor is wood like old school) and window is not sealed perfectly so flies or other bugs can come through. No fridge in the room but maybe you can borrow (5$ per day). The room was written as a seaview on the page but barely can see the sea Toilet is in the room but it is not separated!!! NO DOOR!!! so everyone in the room can hear and smell me very closely. Never...

“The staff were exceptionally helpful but I feel the hotel has seen better days and is a bit run down. The bungalow safe doesn't work at all (could store things in the main safe but made it very inconvenient) and there was limited water in the bunglaow for flushing toilet or showering. Also barely any hot water. The view was exceptional but the deck chairs could be wiped down as they were filthy which seems to be the general standard across the hotel. The staff were friendly , did the best...

“We loved everything about this hotel.. our beutiful room with monkeys in the trees right outside our bungalow.. The hotel is nice and quiet. The staff is so smiling and helpful. The beach outside is perfect. And in the evening you can walk to paje ang take a cheap tuk tuk back to the hotel. Next time we go to zanzibar. Are we staying at this hotel..”

“There were no ready to get customers. All the facilities at outdoor cannot even touch. They said there are renovation right now, but doesn’t feel it’s renovationing, just left unattended. The shower place was real jungle with wrotten shower head. And the beds were full of black dusts. We have checked in but couldn’t find other place to take a shower and sleep. And they said they are going to refund some of our stay fee but they don’t even answer my mails and chats. Please do not get excited...

“1000/10 stars. This hotel was absolutely incredible from the moment we arrived. The food was the best food I've ever eaten, and so”

“Il n’y a aucune piscine contrairement à ce qui est indiqué dans la description!! Déception donc totale! En plus qu’en raison des marées, la mer disparaissait toute la journée. Toilettes sèches, douches d’eau brune, des trappes à rats doivent être installées dans les chambres chaque soir, aucun choix de menu (vous mangez ce qui est préparé), aucun frigo sur le site, endroit très isolé, massages médiocres. Nous étions les seuls clients du séjour et avons compris pourquoi! A l’arrivée, nous...

“Staff did not know about reservation. Did not speak English.”
