The English was poor. Only some of the staff were able to communicate.
The a/c was erratic and other than CNN there was little English speaking western content on TV.

I have stayed here multiple times over the years, and every stay has exceeded my expectation. Iconic property in an ideal location. The room is luxurious with a fantastic view. The staff are always super-helpful. Will stay again next time I go to Shanghai.
