"Room was spotless and the staff were very polite and went out of their way to help whenever possible. Breakfast was excellent and had a wide variety of different cuisines. Location is on the Bund and it doesn’t get better than that. Many shopping malls nearby and historic attractions are just a short walk away. Besides its rich cultural heritage and history, I highly recommend staying here for its convenience and excellent service."

"We stayed one night. Overall great experience. Great location. Minutes walk to the Bund. Across street from the financial center and 15 minutes to Yu Garden. Staff were professional and helpful. The restaurant had a great view and food was very delicious. A nice gym facing the bund. The room is clean; although a bit old. However, the bathroom is very spacious. "

"The Carlton is nothing but the best!!! Shanghai Ritz Carlton was clean and very friendly. Always a good selection for staying overseas. I love the ritz hotels!! My husband and I had a great experience in Shanghai. The front desk super friendly and helpful!! Crystal was really nice when we checked in and she even send a little cake for my birthday- definitely will come back to Shanghai. Ohhh and you can not miss the FLAIR has the best views!! "Room is spacious and clean. The cookwares are a bit old, one of the pot handle was loose and stained. Truly enjoy having a kitchen, managed to cook twice and had morning coffees while getting ready. The room has a direct view of the Pearl Tower, extremely beautiful at night. Highly recommend this hotel and I will book it again."

"Unbeaten location. As great as all Shangri-La hotels. Friendly staff. Both swimming pools are crystal clean but sometimes a little bit crowded. Some furniture in the room might show wear-and-tear with aging. "

"The hotel was great! Large rooms with great views of the Bund or the Yu Yuan marketplace. Three blocks from train station and 10 min walk to Yu Yuan garden. Hotel staff were true professionals who made us feel welcomed. Finally had a chance to enjoy the Spa as well! Lots of local restaurants as you walk towards Bund. Highly recommend."
