We enjoyed staying here. We’re a quiet couple with no children around mid 30 and 40s. We read that this building was the quietest of the 3 resorts and it’s true. No loud music and annoying entertainment by the pool. Just peace and quiet. Great pool service. The roof top pool is only adults if you really dont want to see kids. Of course the big downfall is the beach. But you don’t come to Riviera Maya for the beach. It was very rocky and full of sargassum which was expected. They make up for it big time with everything else. The food was also exquisite. We already knew Mexico was renowned for its food. After staying at many other resorts in the Cancun/Playacar/Playa Mujeres area, we know Mexico’s food greatly outweighs Dominican Republic. This resort surprised us even more! The french à la carte restaurant was exquisite. We ate there twice! The beef filet was cooked as we like it medium rare. The chocolate dessert and crème brûlée were divine. We also enjoyed the Dolores food court for lunch. I had tacos at the grill every time. Delicious! The Italian restaurant was surprisingly good too! I say this because I’m Italian and I get disappointed ever time I order pasta or pizza. Theirs was actually not bad. It’s not Italy of course, but you’re in Mexico so what do you expect. But they really try their best to accommodate you. Just be nice to the servers and staff, if you need something say so kindly and tip them. They work hard!

We booked a platinum room. We had a beautiful room with a sea view. The restaurant options are great, only one we avoided was the Tepanyaki as it’s not our taste. Could not recommend this resort more on the whole, this was our 2nd time and it did not disappoint. The staff are so friendly and helpful. Personally I think going platinum is worth the additional cost, it means no stress booking à la carte and your minibar is always topped up and the butlers are super helpful. I originally booked Ocean coral, but due to renovations they offered me their sister's hotel-ocean riviera paradise. It was beautiful. Very kids friendly. Total 9 people traveling and 1 child and we had 3 rooms. Food was delicious I didn't have an issues.

We stayed at awa Casa muuch for 7 days. I did a lot of research about sargassum as I am familiar but it hugely impacted our stay. The ‘beach’ the hotel is on was covered with seaweed and debris but employees were pushing it back into the ocean after raking it into piles that are cooked in the sun. I am from an island and I live on the coast so am extremely familiar with seaweed smell, and have never been bothered by it before. I can say with confidence that the smell was not just seaweed but something more. Probably sewage related (I’ve decided not to think about it too much so I didn’t have a negative experience.) But, The stench and lingered on all of my belongings. And I did throw up because of the smell. And I consider myself to have a strong belly. Because of this we were also unable to enjoy why we picked awa - to be a little father from city centre where we hoped it would be a bit more quiet. Also not the case. the roads are not walkable as many ppl mention in reviews. The hot water also did not work. Until the very last morning when we were departing. I work in property management and hospitality and know more than your average Joe. The mini split filters were also not clean. Have probably never been cleaned. And it just blows mould into your room leaving your throat scratchy and giving you lovely headaches. The building itself was beautiful and all the staff are lovely but again the smell wafted straight into the room and the balcony was unable to be enjoyed.
