Marietas Islands Beach Vacations

We give this a 10/10 for a 4-star stay. For it being a facility that is not strictly a hotel, we were amazed by the experience. We must open with that the staff did a phenomenal job with communicating early and even assisting with surprising my girlfriend with flowers, a snoopy gift item, and wine. They also facilitated excursion reservations and helped us select them. They were extremely detailed and answered literally all of my questions. The building itself was very well maintained and the staff was always greeting us with a smile and always happy to help. Booking through Expedia gives you daily room service which was a great plus. The minor details that impacted score were that when we arrived, although we notified when we would be arriving, we waited about 20min for someone to greet us and walk us to our room. Once checked in and settling in for the night, we found some trash under our nightstand while plugging in our charger. The door handle to the bathroom wasn’t fully secured and slid off when going to close the door. And finally, one of the reclining chairs was not operational. Our experience at the rooftop pool was both extraordinary but also felt restricted. They have a strict policy that is predatory in nature. I want to be very clear about my choice of words- you are not allowed to bring ANY outside food or beverages… not even the welcome water bottles or previously purchased bottles from the same bar. All of our drinks tasted good but poured with a light hand.

We had an amazing time at Grand Palladium Punta de Mita for our very first family vacation. The resort was absolutely beautiful, incredibly clean, and very well maintained. The grounds were gorgeous, and we loved seeing the wildlife throughout the property, including iguanas, coatis, and even armadillos. The resort was also very kid-friendly, which made the experience even better for us. Our 2-year-old had such a great time, and seeing how much fun our little one had made the trip even more special. We especially want to thank Josue and Priscilla for their incredible hospitality. They were welcoming, attentive, and extremely helpful throughout our stay. Anytime we needed anything, they were there to assist and made sure our family was well taken care of. They truly went above and beyond and made us feel like we didn’t have to worry about a thing. For our first family vacation, we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. We made so many wonderful memories and would absolutely return to Grand Palladium Punta de Mita!

Nice room but the elevators really need AC

The hotel was not what we thought it would be. It seemed old and out of date. The hotel itself was small and not a lot of things to do or offered. The swim up bar which we were looking forward to was in the kids section of the swimming pool and the adult pool did not have one. Our room seemed clean but my friend that slept in their pull out couch was bitten repeatedly by bed bugs almost every night. When we called to inform the staff they reputed my concern and blamed it on mosquitoes but I did not have one mosquito bite on me. We were moved to another room but that room smelled damp and unclean. The food offered was not great and their selection was very little. I did not like that we were only allowed to eat at two of their 5 restaurants when it’s an all inclusive resort. The first restaurant we ate was bad and not appealing. The second Spanish restaurant was better. I would say their staff was polite and attending but other than that this hotel was not good. I will definitely not be going back or recommending this hotel to anyone.

I love all the open areas to relax and see the sites. The amount of pools. The various room option. Food and bar options. Entertainment. Things that were difficult: navigating the property and sometimes encountering staff that only spoke Spanish (I’m not fluent), there was an obvious leak on the 4th floor of Secrets and mold smell, offer a map or tell guests about the Hyatt international app to try to help get around. Room service was great.
