The main issue with a hotel is food, don’t wait anything special, breakfast is ok and the rest is overpriced and small choice.

We stayed for 9 nights and there was not a day without some kind of mistake or misunderstanding. The staff is very very polite and friendly, but they lack professionalism and training. Some servers in the restaurants don’t speak very good English, so that can be an area of improvement. The overall impression is that the whole operation is out of tune. Strong management and review of all aspects of operations is recommended. Alila is not on par with the rest of the Mayakoba hotels.

I stayed at the hotel for around 4 nights Pro Nice staff Room services extremely sufficient Pool area Drinks Spa Family friendly Negatives I booked For a king room through Expedia, I was given a double. The beds were extremely uncomfortable Room service hours seemed to be in the evening, so had to be requested during the daytime. Food is mediocre at best. The hotel seemed to be doing renovations so expect a lot of noise during the day. Walls are thin so expect to hear noise at night as well. Overall wouldn’t recommend

Nice small resort. Great entertainment - reservations for most restaurants were about an hour for a party of 8, which isn't bad. The hotel should add more staff as they had tables but not enough staff to cover all the tables. On one night only 3 waiters were covering the entire resturant with over 30 tables.... that's hard on the staff.

The place was fine the only problem we had was the sargasso we didn’t know it was going to be that bad but we enjoy the beach at isla mujeres

Had a great stay! The staff were friendly, helpful, and always willing to assist. The food was delicious with a good variety of options. Overall, a comfortable and enjoyable experience. Would definitely recommend this hotel.
