“Great stay many thanks. Nice property but please keep it refurbed and up to date. Needs aircon for the summer, fans good but too hot as windows cannot be fully opened. Great service in the bar/restaurant but needs Guinness back rather than Caffreys Stout! Will miss the lamb skewers from new menu but the new sticky chicken ones are also good. That said a tad less bbq sauce would be ideal.”

“Sadly, a disappointing stay in a hotel that has the potential to be beautiful but is dated and poorly maintained. We did not receive the suite we specifically booked for its layout. The first room we were given was accessed through a pitch-black courtyard, which felt unsafe. Although the bedroom and bathroom were modern, the living area was echoey, with a flimsy falling apart table and a fold-out bed positioned in a room near the external door. “A little gem, easy to get to and staff very helpful and pleasant. 2nd time staying g and will use again”

“Nice place to stay needs a bit of sprucing up in parts. Food good. Staff helpful.”

“It was a lovely place to stay. We were travelers for the Chatsworth House and stayed here 1 night. Our room was excellent, and the food - for dinner and breakfast (both continental and english) was fantastic!”

“10 min walk to the train station”

“Lovely little cottage in a beautiful setting. Great walks around. Bed comfortable and lovely warm shower. The welcome package was very helpful as I arrived late on Sunday and forgot the English shops closed early!”

“Property is self catering house at edge of the town. Spacious and decent kitchen. Road quiet (liked that) and easy access to nature reserve/countryside walks. Parking a bit of an issue but didn’t detract from our stay. ”

“staff excellent. room clean, but could do with a fresh lick. food definitely needs improving ”

“Cottage was very clean and spacious with a well equipped kitchen and comfortable living area. Hot tub was wonderful with amazing views - the towels, sliders and robes were a nice touch. Would highly recommend”

“Out in the country but easy access to main routes. Nice and quiet. Very clean and well equipped. Nice owners. ”

“The house was great, hot tub very comfortable and I can't fault just how quiet the area is Only downsides is the floorboards are extremely creaky-- absolutely part of the nature of the house! But just a warning as if you need to get up through the night likely hood is everyone will wake up Not a problem at all but it's just good to know in advance. My family had a great stay and I'd fully recommend ”
