Ko Pha-ngan 3 Stars Hotels

"We had a brilliant post lockdown stay at Princess Paradise. It’s easily the nicest place we stayed in this budget in our month long trip. The staff are so lovely, they invited us to a staff/guest bbq on the beach which was a wonderfully Thai experience. The breakfast is really wholesome and their all day menu was really reasonable, delicious and always beautifully presented. The only downside is the beach - it’s not the best on Phangan but they’d happily recommend/sort others for you to visit. "

"We loved our stay at Pingchan Hotel. We were a family of four staying in a beach front villa, after a week in a big hotel on Koh Samui. We wanted to get away from the big tourism of Samui and Pingchan and Thong Nai Pan Beach really delivered! Such an amazing setting, quiet, beach shack bars, beautiful clear water and fine sand and it certainly felt a little off the beaten track. "The hotel is very well located at 5 min walk from the beach. The area is nice with a good tree coverage that protect from the afternoon sun. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They arrange the taxi for us for the day we were leaving. The food was very good at the restaurant and we liked the view from the restaurant looking at the see. There is a good breeze in the evening. The room and shower were clean and very spacious. Recommended if you want to visit this area"

"The hotel was great! Easy check in, and they arranged a transfer to and from the ferry for me. The staff were very helpful and friendly, and responsive on WhatsApp. I had one meal at the restaurant and enjoyed it. The view from the pool is quite beautiful. The area is not particularly walkable as there are no shoulders on the roads, so rent a motor bike (arranged at the property), take taxis (pricy), or get ready to hike some hills in the heat (this is what I did)!"

"Great place. Right on the beach. Beautiful. Kind owners. Good breakfast with American style bacon. Good burgers for lunch. All and all a really good experience. Much better than spending a similar amount to be in a shared room at some hostel. Easy motorbike rental bery close by. I will stay here again if I visit this island again. "

"Palita lodge is a lovely place to stay on Koh Phangan. We intentionally went on a waxing moon to avoid the craziness of full moon parties and it was quite peaceful. Few steps from the lodge restaurant and you are on the beach.The staff work very hard and are friendly and helpful. We would stay at Palita again if we find our way back to Koh Phangan."

"This is a really nice laid back beach resort, I had a beachfront bungalow which was awesome and very reasonable. it's a few kms out of town so transport is needed, I'd hired a scooter from town. "

"Great location, still a car is helpful and adviced to go around (about 15min from center thong sala). The hotel service is great. The beach sand with small stones so closed diving shoes are advised. The hotel pool is great also the breakfast. Tiny of maintainance and the hotel can get realy tidy. In summary, great hotel"

"The best thing of this place is the beach, really quiet and fabulous sunset. Friendly and helpful staff. Few things let us down a bit which are : first we got a tradional hut, where there was no air conditioning ( it was 40* outside) and the water pressure was practically zero, so make sure when u book, u get the nice bungalow. We had a welcome drink included, which they refused to give to us. "

"Friendly staff who helped us with sorting out visa extension, motorbike rental and taxis. Cosy hut which was perfect for a couple and seconds way from the beach, pool and restaurant. The food in restaurant was amazing and very well priced. Could eat there everyday. In all, very very good value for money. Would stay for longer next time. (stayed for 3 nights). Would definitely recommend staying here. "

"We loved the pool and beach bar. Excellent placement for full moon party—being about a 10 minute walk or so but far away enough to have a peaceful stay. They offer some nice additional services such as in-room massage and laundry. There was a misunderstanding around when our laundry would be done so be sure to communicate expectations around that clearly. They require a 1000 baht cash deposit."
