“A basic room, but very clean and maintained. However, there was a problem with the shower having no facilities for putting in shampoo, soap, etc., and only one cake of soap was provided for a two-night stay. Also, we booked and paid for a deluxe, downstairs room, but were upstairs, which made it very difficult for my wife, who has mobility problems. The stairwell closest to the restaurant did not have a working light, which was a problem once the night arrived”

“We stayed in the Church and it was magnificent, the minute we walked in our minds were blown, downstairs had lovely leather single seat winged backed chairs with accompanying Ottomans were great, stained glass windows reflecting coloured light in downstairs. Upstairs there was a king sized roccoco style bed with a huge reading nook that looked back downstairs. If you are looking for somewhere to stay that is unique and extremely well appointed then this is a must. ”

“Amazing, quite unique, hotel floating in the middle of a lake with snow capped mountains in the backdrop, picture perfect. BUT that's it. There's really nothing else to do here, as you rely on food SOLEly provided by the hotel and there's no other external sources for food being so remote and the portions are small so pack some snacks, instant noodles. Aims for some fine dining vibe, but the quality is sub-par, may be due to meals being included in the price. The food alone would convince you...
