"This is an old house, and certain features could be deemed charming. The beds were comfortable, and we appreciated some of the amenities. However, it seemed worn and bare-bones in some aspects. For example, the AC in one of the bedrooms was a stand-alone unit that was jerry-rigged to vent out the window, and the other bedroom had no AC. The screen door was broken. "Staff ensured our room on check in was quiet. Except there was a night club across the street. Then when asked for a new room was told by staff “that they would bet their career it would be quiet”. The room was one floor up on the same side … Couldn’t sleep until after 1am because of the club across the street"

"We did not have a good experience in this Doubletree hotel. We asked for an early check-in, but no room was available. We waited in the Lobby for two hours before our room was ready. We walked into our room, only to find a blood spot on the top sheet of the bed. We called the lobby, and by coincidence, my husband walked outside of the room and saw a woman pushing a housekeeping cart. He asked about the stain and she introduced her self as a supervisor. She walked in and stripped the bed completely. She said it would be taken care of. We left for a couple of hours and returned to a clean bed. When I went to use the bathroom I found dirt on the floor. I scooped it up with a tissue, but there was more. It was late, so we just went to sleep. We had to catch a very early flight the next morning and left without reporting that incident. We won’t be staying there again."

"Honestly, a stunning hotel. It was beautiful, clean, and the best staff. The man who checked us into the hotel was kind, funny, and informative. They had cucumber water in the entrance and a great coffee shop in the morning. Highly recommend the iced blueberry latte! Would definitely love to stay here again!"

"I had a really great stay at the Canopy by Hilton Portland Waterfront in Portland and would absolutely stay here again. The hotel felt high-end, welcoming, and relaxing from the moment I arrived. I loved the scent throughout the hotel, the beautiful design, and how cozy the common spaces were. One thing I really appreciated was that my room was ready around 1:30 when I arrived, and I was able to go straight to my room using the digital key without stopping at the front desk. After traveling, that convenience was amazing. My room was lovely, and the location was fantastic — very walkable to restaurants, shops, and the waterfront. I also really enjoyed Salt Yard Cafe and the Transit Lounge. One of my favorite moments from the trip was during a rainy afternoon before my late flight home. Instead of going back out into the storm, I stayed at the hotel, ordered lunch, sat on one of the super comfortable couches, and relaxed while watching shows on my laptop. It ended up being one of the coziest parts of the trip. The staff were friendly and helpful, and I really appreciated being able to store my luggage after checkout. A few minor things could be improved: several of the ice/water machines were out of order during my stay, which was a little inconvenient. Housekeeping was great overall, but my coffee bar wasn’t always fully restocked, so I was without creamer a couple mornings. By the end of my stay, the shower drain was also starting to clog and water pooled while showering."
