My husband and I booked a room so we would have a place to rest with a 6 hour layover between 5:00AM and 11:00AM. I called to inquire about the hours of the shuttle. I was told the hotel shuttle stopped at midnight so we would need to order an Lyft or Uber. I scheduled an Lyft for an additional $30, only to learn while we were waiting for our driver.. that the hotel shuttle was actually operating.
Upon our arrival to the CountrySide Inn at our own expense. No i was at the e desk or anywhere to be found. After more than 15 minutes a young lady appeared, but told me that there were sold out and refused to look up my reservation. Initially, I thought I had made a mistake in my reservation. I scrambled to find my reservation with Expedia and when I showed her that it was correct, I was told it was my fault for booking through a third party. This isnโt the the first time that I Iโbe heard this when there has been a problem.
As much as Iโd love to remain an Expedia customer, I do not understand this failure in this process. I purchased insurance for this reservation and I expect compensation for the Lyft and the additional $80 I had to spend to find lodging on my own at the Marriott Courtyard up the road.
