โLoved it here! Beautiful, old pub. Spent 1 night, cosy room, comfy bed & pillows, good over-bath shower, lovely room, with the all imprtant kettle & teabags! Had dinner & pud (lovely) lovely pub gardens, loads of parking, right at the end of a lane, so quiet. Service was EXCELLENT! Spent all night talking to the lovely bar staff - (and they were genuinely lovely) and one of their regulars 'Aled' ๐ Finished the stay with a full cooked breakfast, again, service was excellent.

โBooked the house to stay, 5 months in advance. Had no contact from the owner, so emailed with 1 month until stay date. Was assured everything was fine. They contacted a week and half before stay date to cancel due to routine maintenance. Three hours on the phone to book somewhere else, to be told I had to wait 72 hours before we could rebook. Asked to have my money back and was told 14 days for a refund. Shocking service!โ
โThe room was amazing spacious and clean to a high standard. My only issue was we paid for a sea view but had a call to say someone had booked 2 mins before myself and the sea view room had been taken. No offer of a refunded as we paid extra for the sea view that we didnโt get. โ
โI stay at the Glendale regularly to visit my daughter and granddaughter who live nearby. It is a lovely hotel above an Italian restaurant with very convenient access to Penarth train station with regular trains into nearby Cardiff.
It has both single and double size rooms and I usually choose a single. The rooms are well appointed with rather basic shower facilities, tea & coffee etc. a very nice full cooked English breakfast is available (extra) and of course there is the very convenient...
