Baru Island, Cartagena hotel rooms at the GHL Hotels

This hotel is great. It's worth the price you pay for it. It met my expectations and goes beyond. The staff is very helpful and nice: Rafa, Leo, Fernanda, Fabiola, etc. The rooms are small but go with the echo friendly concept of the hotel. The delicious breakfast is included and in general, the kitchen or restaurant has a variety of dishes. Just a short ride away from Cartagena, this hotel is in a premium location in Barú. The hotel staff was excellent and food was great. The facilities are superb. A great place to visit and relax.

Really nice place to spend time as a family. I would not recommend booking private transportation to the hotel. As long as you use their boat from Cartagena it went very well.

2 nights-3 days. We missed staying another night. Great for a retreat escapade. Food was delicious. Our bungalow very well equipped with good amenities, private pool, sea view (beautiful sunsets). We enjoyed viewing Saturn, Jupiter and the moon through the telescope at the club house in addition to the bioluminiscent night experience in Cholon.

Gorgeous spot on a private beach in Baru, highly recommend for a romantic and quiet getaway. Super attentive staff, beautiful rooms, and the grounds were also lovely. We had the entire place to ourselves for a night!

Very good

Privado was so cute and safe to stay inside the walled city. It is a must to stay here, it is walkable to everything. The best thing is that the walls are sound proof so you are able to sleep in and any noise or party going on outside you won’t hear. Staff is so sweet and so helpful with restaurants ect around the area. You are a short 5-7 min walk to the clock tour and downtown area. I will be returning back and staying at privado with my family.

We could not have been happier with Casa Claver Hotel. The hotel is a small beautiful boutique hotel located in the walled city. The hotel is so pretty. We stayed in a large suite with 2 bedrooms plus a loft. Our room had a washer/dryer and full kitchen (which added to the convenience). We were served a delicious breakfast every morning in our room. SUCH a beautiful place to stay, right in the heart of the walled city. We loved this place so much we wish we had stayed longer! Rooms felt grand, great decor, and rooftop was GREAT! Highly recommend.

This hotel is incredible!! so close to city center and all main attractions in Cartagena . I one hundred percent recommend it, staff is so friendly and knowledgeable. Breakfast , pool restaurant , carta ajena and rooftop were excellent also so sophisticated. The property is very new, only about a month old so the facility is decorated very beautifully. The staff were amazing, very helpful, friendly, and always gave great suggestions. The food in the hotel’s restaurant was tasty. Favorite part, aside from the wonderful staff was the location. It’s in the heart of cartagena. It is a very busy area but it’s still seemingly quiet. There are restaurants a few feet away in every direction and many places to explore.

We stayed in a corner Grand Suite! It was spacious, beautiful, equipped like an apartment, had 2 bathrooms and most of all it had the most amazing views, EVEN FROM THE BATHROOM!!! This is actually my second time staying at this hotel. Most times when I travel, I'm usually by myself (and I'm a female), so being in a location that's super safe and that is walkable to restaurants, entertainment, and transportation is super important to me. Fantastic experience! Staff was incredibly helpful, reaching out before the trip to coordinate shuttle service from the airport. Staff was incredibly resourceful and willing to go the extra mile. Would recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Cartagena.

Beautiful and comfortable hotel. Their customer service was excellent and the breakfast buffet, wonderful! We were served by Clara several times and she was amazing! I have already recommended it to my friends, and we’ll definitely go back again.
