"I suppose I'll start with the good before the bad. The property, outside of the rooms is beautiful and really amazing. The birds residents and deer were adorable. The pool and spa areas are beautiful. There is also a cool, beach club area just for hotel guests. This is a classic Cartagena property in a prime location. Now the bad. Imagine my shock at the condition of the rooms and guest towers. The views from the towers should be epic. Except all of the windows are filthy. The rooms are small. The bathrooms are terrible and there was a lack of hot water. Many guests were complaining about the hot water. The mini bar and snacks in the room were a joke. The entire management team should be fired starting with the general manager. The service team was excellent! They are just working with what they have and to the level that they are being led. This is NOT a 5 star property. If not for the beautiful and classic design outside of the rooms, it would be a 3 star property. EXPEDIA! Shame on you for listing this as a 5 star hotel on your site. Send someone from your team to check out this hotel and get it right. I'll never stay here again. Maybe buy the day pass for their pools and beach club, but stay somewhere else!"

"One of the best Hyatt we’ve ever stayed at! The views from reception were amazing! We were there for a wedding so didn’t get a chance to enjoy all of the amenities but will be going back for sure. We felt safe the entire time and the staff made us feel welcomed. They had three pools that we have to try!!"

"El unico complain es Que la Comida es mala malisima no es para todo el mundo solo para las personas que les gustan la Comida fusionada y los Platos raros y exotico y no hay otra cosa para comer no hay ni un solo restaurante con comida groument normal yo solo fui 1 dia menos mal porque me hubiera tocado perder el dinero e irme"

"The club lounge is definitely worth the upgrade. With a very nice breakfast and evening cocktails. The week I stayed the beach was closed with construction machinery on it. I would’ve liked to at least been notified of this situation. For the beach the alternative is to go to one of the island beach clubs which you NEED to do your own research on, as it became abundantly clear that wherever someone recommends is getting a kickback from and this brings me to the concierge that recommended mine which was ok but lunch was almost inedible. The concierge hours are inconsistent and can literally take days for you to track down. There’s a lot more to this part of my disappointment but non need to go on a tirade. That aside they have a very relaxing pool and decent food with some polite staff. The immediate neighborhood has ample services and places to eat, but is a bit dicey with aggressive vendors and street walkers. The area of the walled city is a much nicer neighborhood to stay, aside from not being on the water but if you’re going to be a patron of the beach clubs in baru or the islands, you’ll have all you want."
