"If you're visiting from far away like the United States or on a special trip, I'd recommend staying at the Blue Apple Beach Club instead. You don't want to cheap on the little stuff on a vacation. The room was advertisied as having Wifi, and it did not have Wifi or cell signal. Youll have to walk by the pool area to make calls. "The good- the staff was friendly and welcoming. The location is top notch, with amazing views and plenty of comfortable beach loungers. We snorkeled at the beach and there was coral and fish very close by. We had fun during the day at the beach lounging, walking, swimming, and reading. The bad- upon arrival, they told us we needed to pay “the other half” of what we owed. We had already paid in full on hotels.com, though apparently this was a mistake, that was supposed to only be half the price....

"The staff was super kind and helpful, they have a transfer service from and to the city by boat between 10am and 5pm. The cabin I chose had AC and the bar has quite a nice menu for food and drinks. Basic amenities but just fine, the guys will help you in whatever way they can and you won't be pestered so much by vendors. On the other hand, they should think about installing some catch-fly lights cause insects can be really annoying, especially when eating."

"We had an amazing stay at the InterContinental Cartagena and loved every minute of it. The hotel is perfectly located right on the beach, making it easy to relax and enjoy the ocean, and it’s also very walkable. Just across the street there are tons of shopping options for souvenirs and clothing, along with a wide variety of restaurants to choose from. The infinity pool was one of our favorite parts of the hotel—so refreshing and absolutely gorgeous with its ocean views. It was the perfect place to unwind. Room service was fantastic, and housekeeping consistently kept our room clean, fresh, and comfortable throughout our stay. We highly recommend the InterContinental Cartagena. It exceeded our expectations, and we can’t wait to come back! We even stayed an extra day!"
