The location is very convenient. The breakfast is tasty. The staff is friendly and helpful. The only thing that needs improvement is the strong mold smell when running the AC during hot, humid weather, which makes our respiratory system feel bad.

I stayed at the Peace Hotel with my three children. Pros: excellent breakfast and very convenient to metro and shopping. Cons: rooms and lobby could use updating and my teenage and adult son had to share a foldout couch which was not advertised ahead of time when we booked a room for four people. The nonsmoking floors smell strongly of cigarettes in the hallway.

Originally they put us in the old section of the hotel, which smelled the smoke and dirty. But the next day they moved us to the new section and the rooms are very nice. The breakfast buffet was good. But the pool and the weight gym was under construction.

Rooms were a good size, but the rooms we had smelled like smoke despite being non-smoking. The staff weren't super helpful or approachable. The buffet breakfast was fairly cheap and great that kids ate free since we had 3 kids and 3 rooms. Great location, walking distance to most main attractions.

Excellent hotel for families with young kids. It's not high-end or fancy but it's clean, convenient with good service. We stayed in a deluxe family room with a king-size bed and a full-size sofa bed, perfect for a family of 4. The room is a corner room and has floor to ceiling glass windows on two sides with a great city view. The hotel has a Chinese crafts and gift shop that also offers daily crafts lessons. My kids enjoyed making things there after coming back from sightseeing: coloring kites, making brooches, etc. That was some quality no-screen time. Love the breakfast buffet, which has Chinese and Western options. Walking distance to Wangfujing and many restaurants at all price ranges. The hotel staff is very helpful. e.g. they helped us book a private car to go to the Great Wall, and even gave us two umbrellas as we were getting in the car because there was rain in the forecast. I ended up using the umbrellas as trekking poles, haha! The gym and pool are nice. The hotel has a self-service laundry room where you can relax on the couch. Very happy with the stay!

Jack in the travel desk was very very helpful. Breakfast had a great spread that's the best part of our stay. They gave a room earlier than check in time but it was smaller and they wouldn't give an extra bed they promised unless we followed up twicw. They don't clean rooms well, don't replace used cups or check if there is any toilet paper in the room. Front desk staff is ok ok

The location is a 10, but we were put in a room on the west wing that was 10 x 10. The bed touched the desk chair and we had to get it removed to move around the room. The bed was a hard boxspring. We asked for an expedia upgrade as we were too tired the late night before. They said they were not affiliated. They did move us and that room was lovely. The pool was closed for renovations, which was a disappointment and why we chose this hotel. Desk staff were grumpy on arrival. Won't go back. But great location
