โMy husband and I loved our stay here. The room was clean, the bed was comfy, and it was great to have a mini fridge, microwave and Keurig in the room. Communication from staff was great as well. We were happily surprised at what a cute little town this was. We visited Pelio winery and listened to live music, had a wonderful dinner at Rustica, and a great breakfast at Trailside Cafe the next morning, which was all walking distance from the hotel. โ
โOur little cottage totally exceeded every expectation!! A charming, peaceful sanctuary from which we could walk to downtown Carmel, drive to Big Sur, or simply relax for a few hours. We LOVED having our own personal parking space literally right outside our door. Be sure to read about the history of Carmel River Inn and Cottages--totally fascinating! We will definitely be returning.โ
โThe room was clean and comfortable. The pool was also clean and at a nice temperature. There were yard games as well. The hotel is a short distance from restaurants and wine tasting rooms. The check-in person was very friendly and helpful with information about the area. We would return here again to explore Carmel and Big Sur. โ

โLocation is excellent, walking distance to good restaurants and a nice park to walk through. Driving distance to great hikes and even more great restaurants. Beautiful nooks and crannies to play games or sit and relax. Fire pits to sit by. Wild flowers everywhere. Room were lacking decor so not super pretty but certainly clean and comfortable. Service and breakfast was wonderful. โ
โWe weren't sure what to expect as we were not familiar with the area or Inn, but from the minute we went to the lobby to ask if we could store our luggage since it was too early to check in, the front desk clerk was so welcoming, warm and so nice ! The room and entire retro vibe of the Inn is very cool, clean and modern !โ

I read reviews about how the walls are paper thin and its really loud and I was worried. The walls were really thin and I could literally hear everything from neighbors, but it was not a big problem for me cause they all became quite after 10pm. I had my earplugs for sleep. I guess it really helped. Welcome cookies, wine, and the breakfasts were good. I'd stay here again if I visit carmel by the sea. Its a lovely town and everywhere is ultra pet friendly."
