โi could hear the gentle lull of the ocean waves as i fell asleep. i could watch the sunset over the ocean from my room. great breakfast brought to the room each morning. fantastic, luxurious bathroom. friendly staff. really a great place!โ
โLocation is excellent, walking distance to good restaurants and a nice park to walk through. Driving distance to great hikes and even more great restaurants. Beautiful nooks and crannies to play games or sit and relax. Fire pits to sit by. Wild flowers everywhere. Room were lacking decor so not super pretty but certainly clean and comfortable. Service and breakfast was wonderful. โ
โCute place. Didn't start in the cottages. Stayed in the main hotel. Didn't get in the pool. Had a nice firepit in the center of the cottages. Cute little river view from our balcony. No air conditioning so we had to leave the doors open until we went to sleep. Didn't get during the night so that was niceโ
โI loved that they provided easy to use (compostable tea-style bags), local coffee during my stay. It was so good - and the company so humble - that I bought more for myself as soon as I got home! I only wished I could have bought one of the same mugs in my cabin.
We loved having a fire in our cabin as well at the fireplace. However - be aware that your cabin will smell like a bonfire and your clothes will too! โ
โThe room was clean and comfortable. The pool was also clean and at a nice temperature. There were yard games as well. The hotel is a short distance from restaurants and wine tasting rooms. The check-in person was very friendly and helpful with information about the area. We would return here again to explore Carmel and Big Sur. โ

I read reviews about how the walls are paper thin and its really loud and I was worried. The walls were really thin and I could literally hear everything from neighbors, but it was not a big problem for me cause they all became quite after 10pm. I had my earplugs for sleep. I guess it really helped. Welcome cookies, wine, and the breakfasts were good. I'd stay here again if I visit carmel by the sea. Its a lovely town and everywhere is ultra pet friendly."
