The room was quiet and felt like a premium stay. The restaurants on the property had many food options and food was delicious. The staff was extremely accommodating and the lodge has many perks in itself.

The room was fantastic with a view of the lake. The space was roomy, with comfortable beds and a nice small table to eat or play games. Staff were friendly. It was a warm place, perfect for a family get-away! We’d go back.

Overall we really liked The Quail. The staff were extremely welcoming and warm, restaurant for breakfast was great, pool and public areas are attractive and well maintained - and loved the Christmas decoration. We felt the room, whilst comfortable and a good size, was a little austere - the combination of very high, light coloured walls (lots of empty space) with wood flooring felt a little cold (particularly the view from bed). The bathroom was dated, but a good size with bath and walk-in shower. For us personally some room / bathroom updates would bring the hotel up to five stars.

The Quail Lodge is a good option in the Carmel area. Very nice staff, good dining room, and clean, albeit, dated room. We have no reason not to recommend it.

Beautiful hotel in an amazing setting yet only a 5-10 minute drive from Carmel. Peaceful pool area, spacious luxury rooms & good food. Would highly recommend.

Third stay in recent months, always a pleasure. Great staff in Amber and Lexi, everyone working outside is friendly too. They go above / beyond as cliche as that sounds. I was once a VP of hospitality for a big hotel & nightclub group — I’m extremely picky lol This is now the only place my wife and I stay for overnight trips from Silicon Valley.
