It was evident from the certificates and photos around the place that it had been a hotel & restaurant of note with award winning credentials. It isn’t a shiny glitzy hotel but equally the decor was quite tired and patched up in places. “Great value for the price and the quality of surface you get. Cannot complain. The hall way at night does looks a bit like a haunted movie due to the way the motion sensor for the light works and the bluish emergency exit lighting.”

“Very comfortable bed, clean room We stayed for 2 nights. At check-in, we did not notice the sign in reception that you need to ask for a room refresh (before noon) We needed clean cups, glasses, tbags, but we asked in the pub on the second day and all were provided. The only downside is there isn’t really anywhere in the bathroom to dry towel on a two night stay, so maybe best to ask for refresh Excellent value for money”

“Only stayed one night so didn’t use all the spa facilities which looked nice. Our room was a very long walk from the reception, this was difficult to manage with my son who is autistic and has disabilities. If I stayed again I would specify that we needed to be nearer reception. Room was ok, but small fridge in room was very noisy and had to turn it off (it was unplugged when we entered room) and the air con unit in the corner of room also made a lot of noise as the evening went on and my son...
