“Don’t often leave reviews but if you want a break from the Monday to Friday hotel life, this place is ideal. Was greeted as soon as I arrived and offered a choice of rooms. The room had a massive bed and a seating area, plenty of tea and coffee and was offered fresh milk which I accepted. Breakfast was made to order, had a beautifully presented fruit salad, followed by a great fry up made with quality ingredients. Even the WiFi was great ”

“Room 3 was really spacious, more like a suite with comfortable sofa and armchair and low table too. The many pictures on the wall were tasteful. The bath was particularly good!”

“Breakfast was very good, but parking was a nightmare. Information said the railway station was open until 19.30 .. we went to look ... 18.00! There is nowhere to drop off bags etc. abd my eife uses a mobility scooter, so, we would not be able to get anything to eat in the evening. I had to carry our case from the railway station and dusmantlr the scotter and made several trips up stairs to store it in the very small room, then, carry it downstairs again to go out. “Lovely period gastopub right on the river Lugg. Lovely light and fresh accommodation. Food all delicious with a great selection. Their eco wellness spa facilities was a real treat to hire as well, a gorgeous spot to relax in. My wife loved her massage with Charlene as well. Definitely recommend”

“Hotel was reasonably priced for a reason. Room was spacious and comfortable but a little tired. Nice quiet location though, so had a good night sleep. Breakfast was a disappointment, best leave it at that. I would consider staying again, easy parking, good location and certainly good value for money compared to other options on this occasion. ”

“The full cooked breakfast was amazing, i couldn't fault it, single room was small but clean and comfy. very friendly owners , and 2 lovely dogs who came to greet me. Overall i enjoyed my stay, and if im ever back in the area i would definately stay again. ”

“The photos of this property are completely misleading, as in reality it is very very different! The room was small, nowhere to put anything, the en-suite was tatty with broken shelf over sink, dirty mirror and a shower that was pretty poor! The room was cold & uninviting! Other parts of the property were full of clutter & just looked uncared for and needs a complete overhaul. I can’t believe we paid good money to stay here!! ”
