“Excellent village pub with great staff and atmosphere that matches its surroundings and in keeping with good old inn values. The chef provides a great variety of flavors and quality dishes all served hot and on hot plates. The stairs are somewhat challenging for the elderly and mobility impaired. I didn’t realize when booking that I could have requested a ground floor room. My bad - should have read the small print. Would definitely stay again if in the area.”

“What an absolute gem of a place! There's nothing like a fantastic breakfast to start the day and oh boy did we get it here . Also I had the fish and chips one evening and it has to be said it ranks along side the best I have ever eaten....Attentive staff who clearly know what they are doing . We have never stayed in Wells before but we will definitely stay here again when we return.”

“A wonderful stay, friendly staff, comfortable clean room with very large bed. Amazing breakfasts and evening food. Safe parking and lovely location. Only minor issue was it was advertised on Expedia as separate shower and bath when in fact it was shower over bath. Thank you for looking after us.”

“ Good location on the edge of town, convenient for the buses along the North Norfolk coast. Short walk into the town. Ample car parking on the street or in the yard. Room was not overlarge but was clean and had everything needed and the decor was good. Staff very friendly and accommodating. Continental type breakfast ample and varied. Altogether, a very positive experience and we would be happy to book again when we come to Sheringham.”

“The room I stayed in was really nice, very comfortable , roomy, cosy and had everything needed with some nice unique extras and touches. it had an old inn look with teak beans with modern touches as tv kettle iron etc., staff were very friendly and helpful. Nice bar and restaurant areas, outside patio looked good but it was a winter with hail and snow. Full breakfast was excellent and I also had fish & chips in the restaurant it was same, there was a limited main food menu with a couple of items...
