Overall nice stay, clean rooms and friendly staff. Our only real issue was the heater in room did not work. I heard same from a few others who were staying as well. They did provide a space heater which worked well, but I did not feel safe sleeping with it on.

This historic hotel has loads of character and is a marvellous central location. I would suggest that it needs some decorative TLC but my room was large and with 2 huge floor to ceiling windows that looked out onto the main street. Wow! What can I say nothing not to like about this place. The pod was amazing and clean, the facilities and welcome basket left was amazing. We were in town for the Race Across Scotland - crew stayed here throughout the week, and two of us who ran it were here after we finished. Was a close drive to Cocksburnpath, and to other surrounding areas. Great spot for 4 folks, and having laundry was a huge bonus. Lovely property.
