"I liked that it sits directly on the Upper Kern River & there is a wonderful private beach. I The lodge staff is very careful to monitor the beach to keep outsiders from using it. There is also free parking and easy access to the rooms. They served coffee every morning in the patio area and there was an ice machine. I also liked the patio area and each room has 2 chairs and a cute large tree stump for a table. The beds were comfortable with cute sheets. The air conditioner worked great!!
The lodge is old and could use an upgrade. The rooms and the bathroom are small. It would help if there were hooks in the bathroom. For two people one towel rack is not enough. Add one hook next to the shower and another next to the door. Also a few hooks in the room would help a lot."
