“This was a fantastic hotel, all the previous reviews speak for themselves, everything was lovely apart from the dreadful weather which was a shame as I was looking forward to exploring the area. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it”

“We had a lovely stay here! Our travel plans were disrupted so we arrived very late in to the night, everything was left out for us and even late checkout was arranged for us. The staff were lovely and very accommodating. Room was so cosy and warm and the location was beautiful! 15/10.”

“I chose this hotel for its proximity to the railway station. It's a pleasant place, albeit not for those with mobility issues. Welcoming, with a friendly bar serving real ale (a plus for me). My room was comforable and I had no complaints about the facilities. A good Welsh breakfast.”

“We absolutely lucked out with this gem. The host, Mark, is hilarious, helpful and super kind. We really enjoyed room 8 with all the thoughtful extras. Our room had great linens and towels, tons of pillows, amazing light with double doors we could leave open and the bathroom was great with the most excellent of water pressure. They made us breakfast every morning which was nice. We took a 15 min walk and were at water’s edge. The town was lovely with good pubs. Thank you, Mark!!”

“Covid friendly stay with all rules followed to ensure safety of guests. Friendly staff and lovely breakfast. Local beers on sale in the bar are worth a go. Set off the beaten track so you'll need a car to get about but Newport well worth a visit as was lower Fishguard.”

“We really enjoyed our stay with The Castle Inn! The team were very welcoming to us and our dogs, the rooms were well presented, clean and comfortable. There is a good selection of local drinks available and the food selection and quality was outstanding! The little things really stood out too, such as the “Hungry Dawg” menu for the four-legged ones, a well presented beer garden for the warmer months and a beautiful restaurant. We will definitely be staying here again when we next visit west...

“Easy to find. Perfect location for our needs. Cottage was comfortable, warm, cosy, well equipped and lots of welcoming touches. A lovely little cottage within easy walk of Fishguard town centre yet only a few hundred yards to the open countryside. We will happily return if the need arises.”
