Catalina Island, California hotel rooms at the Independent

"This is my first time checking in for a hotel and so far my experience has been delightful. The front desk is very nice and approachable. The room itself is very clean and the bed is very comfortable. I also love the fact that the hotel is less than 5mins walk away from all the shops and dining places. I will for sure come back to this hotel! "

"Check in was easy - we came over on the 6am ferry and arrived well before check-in time. We chilled on the outdoor patio until front desk staff arrived, and they held our bags in the front office while we went for our scuba dive. When we arrived back at the hotel a few hours later, we picked up our keys and found that our bags had already been put in our room. Room was very comfortable, clean, and had the full kitchen that we expected. Nice view of the harbour from the deck and quiet location. Would definitely stay again."

"Only stayed here for 1 night to take photos on the island. Nice convenient stay, shower was weird but i liked the property. Its within walking distance to everything but i think most of the hotels are. Very beachy and nautical here and the staff was great ..manny checked us in he was good."
