“Staff on front desk & restaurant were lovely; neither tv in our room worked & when asked housekeeping if anyone could help she got another 2 of her team to come check then neither of them could help us”

“★★★★☆ The George Hotel has plenty going for it: welcoming staff, a generously sized room, thoughtful extra amenities and a wonderfully comfortable bed. The location is incredible, too. However, as many other reviewers have mentioned, this is not a quiet hotel. We were in a designated quiet room, with no events taking place during our stay, and could still hear just about everything happening around us. Four and a half ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️ for the comfort, staff and fantastic location, but light sleepers...

“The room was lovely & comfortable. The Evening meal was delicious. The only thing that let us down was the breakfast. It didn’t seem to be freshly cooked and wasn’t very hot & not very well cooked. A shame. If we stay again we will not pay extra for the breakfast.”

“The room was small but very well maintained and clean. The breakfast you could not fault, although you had to give your choice on the night before which personally not in favour of. The staff were very attentive, pleasant and efficient. The situation in the middle of the village ideal and parking on site, excellent. No dogs allowed on site which I am in favour of.”

“I was here for work, so slightly different priorities. But I enjoyed breakfast in my room and the whole order the night before set up, which included the time you wished to eat. Breakfast was good. this also meant the room had a table, which in my situation was very useful. Tea and coffee etc could be replenished from hall box. Good quality toiletries. Comfortable bed. Car parking on site, in fact very convenient all round.”

“The place was wonderful. The only flaw was the difficulty I had finding the transportation they promised from the airport/train station, since there were no signs. I could see the place from outside, but I couldn't figure out how to safely walk there.”

“This has to be the craziest room I've ever stayed in, in a good way. The floors were sloped the furniture was sloping in line with the floors. Bed comfy amd bathroom was nice and clean. If you are after a quirky stay then this place is for you.”
