Excellent spot and good value for money. The room was excellent with a beautiful en suite and it was dog friendly. The staff was excellent and super helpful.

A really lovely place to stay in a convenient location. Helpful, friendly staff and our room was perfect. Full of character, quiet for sleeping and came with everything we needed including a coffee machine and complementary bottles of water.

The Agricultural Inn was authentic, super friendly and comfortable. The pub and food were excellent. Our room and en suite bath were large with a comfortable bed and nice amenities. We are so happy that we chose this stay! Penrith was great too. Highest marks to the staff and owners at the Agricultural Inn! We hope to return and stay again.

Great Location

Had a brief but enjoyable stay. Loved the history of the hotel and the old auction ring. The breakfast was very good and the staff were very welcoming.We would definitely stay again

We enjoyed our stay at the agricultural inn it is a warm cosy friendly type of place the food was good and the service was even better, we wouldn't hesitate in staying there again

Nice enough hotel

Room only but all very good

lovely clean room with a comfy bed and a shower with the best water pressure i have experienced this year. TBH i was only in the room and away the next morning as i was knackered from driving on arrival and had a meeting the next morning but the room and the friendly staff on arrival would suggest if I'm in the area again i would not hesitate to book..

We stayed here cycling the C2C; they couldn’t have been more helpful to store the bikes even though they didn’t have much room. The water pressure in the shower is amazing. Nice pub.

We had a wonderful warm welcome at the Agricultural Inn. My bro and I stayed for 5 nights to meet our family who live in Penrith we had many wonderful breakfasts a few pints and a wonderful dinner. Everything was spot on! Meghan and Thomas along with John work tirelessly to ensure a fantastic stay and we truly appreciate their smiles and openess to share stories, they are ACES in the hospitality industry. Well appointed and clean rooms, great Pub and outside terrace close to everything on foot!!! Cheers! :D

Expensive for what it was

Staff were extremely welcoming and helpful. Room and bathroom was very spacious and clean. Shower had a good water pressure. The property and room were dated and worn in areas. The out of hours entrance was not lit and visibility was very poor. Check in closed at 10pm and there was no one around in the morning to check out, breakfast was not served until 9am. I thought the hotel/inn was expensive (>£100) for what it was, I would have been satisfied with my stay had it been lower price.

Noisy pub. The landlord did his best on a busy night but it is still a room above a pub with loud music downstairs. Good food. Handy to train and supermarket. The bed very uncomfortable unfortunately. Nobody around at checkout to mention this to. No parking. Had to park in the supermarket and couldn’t drag our bags over and up the stairs as we are not young people.

Good, bargain, boutique-vibe stay.

Bar and rooms were clean. Lady who checked us in at the bar was friendly and gave the information required about codes/keys. Our room was direct above the bar and looked over the smoking entrance so was loud until closing. Overall a great, comfortable stay. Loved the nespresso machine in the room and the decor was beautiful! Thanks

Agriculture Inn is a gem! The owners are on site and give personalized attention with a smile! The room was so clean, the food and ale was so delicious, and the castle ruins are across the street. They have a nice beer garden that is well attended by locals and feels very relaxed and comfortable. Not crazy or noisy, just a nice local feel. The bathroom was very small but not an issue for us. I would definitely go back! The history of the building is also very interesting.
