“When we arrived we were told our room was no longer available due to a 'maintenance issue' so had to book somewhere else at the last minute. The lady that we spoke to was nice and did say they had tried to contact us during the day about the situation. However, checking the message we found in Expedia, it was only sent an hour before we arrived late afternoon. Not helpful when you are driving long distance. Might be a one off but, obviously, have to score the hotel low in this instance.”

“A very enjoyable stay in a boutique hotel, where the staff were very friendly and helpful. The rooms were all different, with each offering individual benefits. We were slightly concerned that the restaurant was not open on our first night, but we were able to get food from other areas, so not a problem overall.”

“I was given a big room with two double beds so more than enough room for me. The room was ok, but a little dated. Large flat screen tv, good bathroom / shower, really comfortable bed and pillows - a couple of negatives were no aircon or safe. Bar / restaurant was really good, plenty of seats / tables and sports on large tvs with. huge selection of fodder and drinks to choose from My food was quick to arrive and very tasty. They were attentive, helpful and very friendly and made me feel welcome. Mack (I assume he was the duty manager) went above and beyond and couldn't have been more helpful. “This is a lovely little hotel in a perfect spot to visit Newcastle. The staff were all lovely and were keen to make my stay as good as possible. My room was on the 2nd floor and there is no lift (which I knew but still overpacked!) so perhaps don't take one big suitcase like I did! The hotel is well maintained but is not "modern". It has everything you could want except if you stay at the height of a heatwave, there is no AC (i was given a fan which suited me but just a note). The bedroom doors...

“Location was fantastic! Huge patio to have breakfast and/or drinks on while watching the ocean”

“We have stayed here before and wanted to come back. We booked a classic King and got the opportunity to bid for an upgrade to the Executive suite and got it. When we arrived, there were no Executive suites ready and they put us in a Signature suite instead at no extra cost. The staff here are so friendly and go above and beyond and made our stay so enjoyable. Perfect place to celebrate our anniversary.”
