“Ran by a wonderful couple who are really friendly and accommodating. The lodge is in a beautiful location and the facilities and room are lovely. Breakfast was included and we were asked beforehand what we wanted so it would be ready for the time we requested. And it tasted wonderful. Me and my girlfriend have visited here twice now and I'd greatly recommend a stay here.”

“We only stayed at Storrs Gate House for one night to break a long journey to Scotland but we would have no hesitation in returning for longer to explore the area properly. The accommodation was supremely comfortable, the breakfast was superb and the hosts were wonderfully welcoming. Storrs Gate House is only a short and pleasant stroll from the centre of Bowness but far enough away to be quiet and tranquil. Altogether top notch. Highly recommended. ”

“Our welcome when we arrived was excellent. Liz was very helpful telling us sbout breakfast etc. Our room no 5 was quite spacious and had a nice view of the hillside of the dale. Breakfast was well cooked and tasty. Glenn was very efficient and knowledgeable about the area and made you feel relaxed with his banter. The en suite was a tad small but we managed ok. Will return and stay with them again at some point if we are visiting the area.”
