“While the Hotel is in a super location it is in need of updating. There was no drawers in the room to put clothes in and room157 had water dripping from a light fitting in the bathroom. This has obviously happened for some time as there was staining on that part of the ceiling. I reported this to reception as we checked out. There was no lu brush and we had to ask for another toilet roll as only one half used was provided. The food was average. Not somewhere we would stay again”

“good golf course, tennis court, rooms and buildings with full of historic scent. 30 minutes drive from Manchester airport. meeting rooms are cozy, but internet access with laptop inconvenient (smartphones are ok). breakfast was excellent and bar serves all kinds of nice cocktail.”

“Lovely hotel. Stayed with my wife for her birthday. We had a deluxe room which was quite a long walk from hotel reception. The room was nicely decorated and the bed was massive! Only negative points for the room were the amount of cobwebs and dust around light fittings and soundproofing between rooms. We could clearly hear people in other rooms using their toilet facilities. “Amazing break! Staff all friendly. Food in main restaurant was amazing and had a great massage at spa by Hannah. Spa was all lovely and clean and not overcrowded. The only thing was the relaxation room was not open after our massage as we chose the last session. The pastries at breakfast were not worth the calories as a bit stodgy. Other dishes were absolutely amazing. Thanks”

“My fault entirely for not staying at a more airport based hotel We chose this hotel so we could do a bit of swimming before heading away for the weekend The pool is advertised at closing at 1030 but when we arrived the lady checking us in said last swim for children was 7 It’s not easily visable - the key information you are sent on the hotel says 1030 so my teenage son and I couldn’t swim The bathroom doors aren’t soft close they spring shut very loudly o sorted this by putting a towel...

“Parking is really poor, everyone was double parking on grass and in the disabled spaces as there is not enough space for guests to park. We had to park a 5min walk away in a public car park and walk back in the dark which wasn't a nice start. The corridors and decor in the room was a bit tired. We had a Park room and all the lamps in the corridor had been knocked and were either lopsided or broken off. The walls were also badly marked and needed a clear freshen up.
