“Clean room”

“We’ve been coming to Cedar Point for many years. We wish we would have chosen South Shore Inn much sooner. We had a PERFECT two-night stay with them recently and will now use them as our first choice for lodging in Sandusky. Everything exceeded our expectations: immaculate rooms, comfortable beds, good food selection for breakfast, easy access with ample parking, friendly and helpful staff, well maintained property. “Super friendly, lovely staff who went above and beyond to help and make us feel welcome. We loved the pool and the pancake maker was amazing. The rest of the food for breakfast was not anything to write home about, but enough to keep everyone happy. The kids loved the pool. They also put in the effort to have bed bug covers on, which is a big deal to someone who has previously gotten bed bugs from hotels in the past. We loved it here. Thanks for a great time!”

“I’ve used truckstop bathrooms that were cleaner in the bathroom that we had in our room! That’s not even the worst part, the carpets need to be desperately changed. The entire room smelled of urine. It was difficult for us to even stay in the room. I would’ve left immediately but the entire town of Sandusky had been booked up. I will never say this hotel ever again. I am warning all of those who look for cleanliness, this is not the place.”

“Very bad rioms”

“I really liked how I had three beds and the setup of the room was lovely. The only thing they could better is how they clean the rooms. I didn’t smell any bleach at all. The room smelled like old people and urine.”

“I liked hotel´s location. It has everything you need for a few days stay. The hotel has laundry facilities, an indoor and outdoor pool, a jacuzzi, and sauna. The area was clean, and clean towels were available. The was ample, well-lit parking and a continental breakfast. The room had air conditioning, and the staff was attentive.”

“We had a pleasant stay. Staff was very courteous and helpful. Breakfast was on the better side of a typical hotel breakfast. The coffee was very good. Fitness center was very typical for a hotel. Did not use the pool. Hotel was clean.”

“My issue with the hotel is it stated it could sleep 6, but could only sleep 5 uncomfortably at most. I had to check out immediately and go to the Holiday Inn next door. It felt reasonable to be given some sort of refund but I have received no response to multiple outreaches since the person at the desk was unable to help me since the owner was the only one who could. The room would have been fine for my wife and I, but I had four kids with me.”

“Good staffs”

“Room was clean, bathroom definitely needs a make over; the sink handles were hard to turn, and the shower appeared to have mold all around the base. Breakfast appeared to be nicely done, but we only grabbed some juice and yogurt on our way out so i cant speak for the quality of the food. The indoor pool area was okay, but the pool itself seemed to have dirt/debris on the bottom so we unfortunately avoided swimming.
