“Room was good though the view was just the side road entrance to the car park. Hotel staff all very friendly and the public areas had a good ambiance. Breakfast was excellent. Our problems were with the comfort levels in the room. There were 8 pillows in our room but all with the same degree of firmness, all were extremely firm with no give at all. “Chef could not handle my no salt soft diet. My wife had to forget about her low salt diet. We were disappointed with the menu, which I found impossible to read because I am red green colour blind. The hotel appeared to not understand what is colour blindness. We shall book again as we have done before. But we will not eat in the evening. “Situated near the centre, parking is available free after 5.45pm and until 8 45 am. Staff were excellent, I had a large clean room with a sofa, whilst being slightly dated it was functional and fine for one night. I would stay again. Wi fi was very good and free. Excellent water pressure in the shower. On site bar served decent food.”
